Macroeconomics provides students with the definitions and background of macro-economics. Through the knowledge provided, students can understand and analyze the macro policies that are being implemented and daily economic issues with objective and multi-dimensional thinking.
This is a conditional subject that will serve as a foundation for International Economics subjects.
- Objectives of the subject
- Get familiar with economic vocabulary and basic economic concepts
– Understand basic concepts: macroeconomics such as gross domestic product, monetary policy, fiscal policy, saving and investment, total supply and demand, inflation, unemployment, export, financial system and etc
– Use the theoretical knowledge to describe and deepen the analysis of the problems of Vietnamese economy and other economies.
+ Impacts of fiscal, monetary, trade and investment policies;
+ Policies to address unemployment and inflation;
+ The short-term and long-term behavior of the economy;
+ Macroeconomic issues of the open economy including balance of payments, exchange rates and trade policies;
– Understand the fundamentals of macroeconomics. Understand the impact of monetary and fiscal policies, saving and investment policies on economic variables such as GDP, CPI, inflation, trade balance, total supply and demand, unemployment and etc;
– Have ability to use new and modern knowledge and old concepts but are still valid to the reality of economies in the world and in Vietnam.
