I remember an old saying that “People never learn anything by being told, they have to find out for themselves.” Indeed, getting to discover new things in our life journey from the perspectives of ourselves is one of the most valuable experiences. For me, joining the field trip to Vietnam Television Station last week as a school extracurricular activity is really a meaningful and memorable experience in my student life. The deepest impression of mine upon this field trip would be specifically expressed in the following section.

What a day!

Well, I think you all may feel very curious when reading something so short like this title? Do you know behind every simple things, there is always a story? If your answer is “yes” then maybe you will like my little story here there.

My story started when a second year girl having her first chance to join a field trip to one of her most favorite places – the Vietnam television station as one of her faculty extracurricular activities. Actually, this girl has been dreaming of becoming a news reporter on the everyday 7pm news channel since she was a little kid, which somehow explains why she got so excited of taking this wonderful trip.

That day finally came and things went even much more impressive than what she had imagined before. At first, she got the special opportunity to sit in one of the annual talk shows of VTV6 called “A chair without back “. This talk show was initially programmed with the aim of enabling audiences to have another the way of seeing their idols unlike other previous shows on TV. The approach were much more real, it was more like an intimate chit chat between friends, which made the “ guest “ get closer to the audiences and to the students. On that day, the show was about Trang Ha – a female writer with the unique ways of writing, a strong woman of the most down to earth personality…..and off course don’t have to mention she was her most idolized Vietnamese female writer too. After the show, the trip continued with the close talk with someone who was already in the industry, television making industry; someone really experienced and could answer all of your questions about this field. That person was Mrs. Thuy- vice head of Content Department of the station3 or people sometimes call her with a lovely name: Mrs director. The talk with her was absolutely informative and helpful for the students, especially those one who plan to join this field in their future career. Finally, the best things are usually saved for the last, an all-round tour of the station were given by Mrs Thuy really made this experience her most memorable, precious so far. The trip ended in the girl’s regrets wishing that it could have lasted for longer time, however what she learnt that days are counted. After all, as an old saying goes: “Travelling forms a young man “

Well, that’s my simple story of an ordinary girl but from this I just want to say that Chances are there for us to take and if you are lucky enough to catch your rightful chance, it will may be your opportunity, your adventure, just like the girl in this story.
