- Content description
The subject will provide learners with a general knowledge of public policy analysis and the latest knowledge in public policy analysis. The content covers the basic concepts of policy analysis and classification, how public policy analysis approaches sustainable development and how interdisciplinary approaches to interdisciplinary social sciences in policy analysis
The subject provides learners with in-depth knowledge of public policy analysis, the timing and approach of analyzing public policy, factors, philosophies, goals, means of public policy, impact, influence, conflict of public policy, social analysis of public policy, analysis of social conflicts caused by public policy, analysis of social reactions by public policy, social fabrication analysis by public policy, public policy analysis.
At the same time, enhance students’ awareness of the strengths and weaknesses of public policy analysis.
- Objectives of the subject
At the end of the subject, students gain knowledge and skills in public policy analysis. The main goal of the subject is to help graduate students to work in the policy analysis team towards sustainable development goals of the United Nations and the Government of Vietnam. At the same time, the subject provides background to help students progress to higher education in public policy and sustainable development.
Students have a basic understanding of public policy analysis and apply their knowledge to other academic studies in public policy.
Moreover, students have the ability to analyze and evaluate public policy; to study, present, eloquence, debate on topics related to socio-economic and environmental policy and connect them with issues of other disciplines such as development, business social and foreign affairs;
Students have basic skills in studying in international studies: study, abstracts, critique;
Students are aware of the need for lifelong learning, are skilled to maintain and constantly improve their soft skills.
