- Content description
This subject aims to help learner understand and explain the main contents and topics about development studies, some international experiences; thereby studying international lessons and experiences and applying them to Vietnam. At the end of the course, learners can master the basic topics of development studies; analyze the most important topics in development; apply development knowledge to Vietnam’s development policy to form basic skills in specialized learning including researching, reviewing, reading comprehension, summarizing, and criticizing the contents of development issues. Learners are also willing to contribute to the development of Vietnam.
- Objectives of the subject
At the end of the course, students may:
– Explain the concept of development, topics such as globalization, migration, rural development, urban development, health, education, environment and climate change, inequality, poverty, ethnic minorities…
– Analyze international experience on national development model (4 dragons of Asia, America and Western Europe, China…)
– Improve skills in analysis, case study of development in the world and application to Vietnam.
– Improve self-study ability, self-responsibility ability to work in a variety of environments (non-profit, private, government); desire to become agents of change, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
