We live in a world where global relationships are increasingly enhanced, and international business becomes the decisive factor for economic growth and prosperity for the nation.
The course provides students with a background in environmental issues where international business operations and business practices must compete fiercely for success in the global marketplace; provideswith governmental policies on trade, multinational company strategies that can be used to penetrate foreign markets, strategic management, introductory knowledge of product marketing, development, pricing and publicity of products, organizational structure and human resource management, along with the ethical and corporative social responsibility of multinational companies.
- Objectives of the subject
Help students recognize the importance of strategic thinking on issues related to the various aspects of an international business, then make correct decisions on implementation of work in practice.
To achieve these goals, students will:
– Interact with sources of information and practical experiences through reading materials, articles about international business, international databases, business case and teamwork.
– Understand the fundamentals of globalization, how multinational companies compete strategically with each other.
– Be awareness of global and regional integration mechanisms with trade agreements to remove tariff barriers that shape the international competitive landscape and increase globalization.
– Understand the similarities and differences between the peoples of the world and their influence on business management.
– See how the legal, political, economic, cultural and religious systems impact on international business.
– Basically understand the issue management emerging in an international context relating to strategy, human resource management, financial management and business leadership.
– Access to the ethical and corporative social responsibility of a multinational company and understand the basic concepts of moral reasoning and the issues to consider when facing a challenging decision.
Throughout the course, students form their perceptions and habits of critical thinking and strategic thinking in the areas of professional and social life; apply theories, tools, and insights into international business to analyze and direct common issues in the real world.
