European Studies belongs to the regional study, introduces a general overview of Europe, the formation and development of the European Union as well as foreign policy, economic and financial cooperation. In addition, the subject also focuses on emerging contemporary issues in the European Union’s relations with countries such as the United States, Russia, NATO, mainly security, as well as the influence of the big three countries Germany, England and France on common issues of the region. As a result, students will expand their knowledge, practical approach to understand more deeply about this area.
- Objectives of the subject
The course aims to introduce students to general and in-depth knowledge about Europe and the European Union. In addition, the course also equips students with important skills such as: foreign language skills, presentation skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, logical thinking to help students gain access to global political issues from a multi-dimensional perspective. At the end of the course, in addition to gaining the necessary knowledge and skills, students are expected to develop knowledge and understanding of this area.
Understanding the basics of Europe and the area of study includes: the birth and development of the EU, foreign policy, economic cooperation, finance, agriculture and security among membership of nations. In addition, the course also focuses on contemporary issues highlighted in the European Union’s relations with other external countries such as the United States, Russia, NATO, mainly in the field of security, as well as the influence of the big three countries Germany, England and France on common issues within this region.
