- Content description
The subject helps to understandthe concept of development and development economics, measure development; Neo-classical theory of development; Dependence theory and world system of development; Development theory and human resources; Theories of poverty and inequality; Theory of resource mobilization and development; Development strategy and development model countries; Trends in the development of happiness indicators and indicators of the UN; model of the three development stages of the World Economic Forum. Based on the above theories, the trainees will evaluate and apply the research model of Vietnam’s development.
- Objectives of the subject
At the end of the course, students may master theories and fundamental issues of development economics; understand the role of economic development issues: poverty, inequality, environment; understand and analyze simple economic development issues using different approaches; develop basic skills in specialization, including reviewing, reading, summarizing and criticizing contents of economic development.
