- Content description
The subject provides learners the necessary skills to analyze data in research projects. Along with Research Methodology course, this subject will help learners comprehensively understand, develop the ability to process, analyze data, evaluate and write analytical reports for social science research and/ or development. In addition, learners have the ability to evaluate the reliability and accuracy of data analysis and processing; ensure compliance with ethical standards during analysis processing and data analysis report writing.
- Objectives of the subject
At the end of the course, students may:
- Explain statistical concepts and techniques for data processing and analysis (specially T-test, Chi-squared test, one way/ factorial ANOVA analysis of variance, internal variance…)
- Handle and analyze data, and write data analysis report.
- Apply data processing and analysis techniques, especially data processing analysis software such as SPSS.
- Improve skills to verify and confirm the accuracy and reliability of the processed and analyzed data.
- Write and present data analysis reports for social research and/ or development.
- Have competence in data processing and analysis techniques in social research and their application to solve social development problems.
- Actively improve self-learning, the capacity needed to process, analyze data and write effective data analysis reports.
