- Content description
The subjects focus on Asian Studies from different including the following aspects: Historic – Cultural and socio-economic development of one or more Asian countries, issues of peace and security, political systems, modern trends, environmental issues, development policies, and so on.
In each issue of the study, the choice to teach is set in the regional, Asian and international contexts. At the same time, there is a need for in-depth perspectives such as focusing on a few Asian countries or regions or a significant issue for the whole region.
- Objectives of the subject
At the end of the course, students may:
– Understand thoroughly about the Asian region, issues of international relations and development;
– Research some typical cases of the country or its culture, society, economy, security and development;
– Understand and be able to analyze from socio-political and social perspectives and developments on the issues Asia is facing;
– Form basic skills in academic study including reviewing, reading, summarizing, critical reading, and essay writing for content related to Asian studies.
