Introduction to Political Theories provides students with knowledge of the fundamental issues of political science. The subject begins with the discussion of the nature of human beings and the relationship between the individual and the society, from which the questions are addressed in politics. Why does the government exist?How different political theories explain the origin of the government? Then,the subject targets other issues such as national sovereignty, power and legitimacy of power. The subject also provides knowledge on issues relating to individuals in politics such as rights, obligations, citizenship, or representativeness in political systems, liberty, equality, tolerance. In general, as the name implies, the subject provides students with a system of knowledge in the field of politics so that students can explore and understand more deeply about this discipline.

  1. Objectives of the subject

After the course, students are equipped with a fundamental knowledge system in the field of political science. Students are able to understand the nature of political phenomena, current models and political institutions. In addition, with the knowledge that is equipped, students can completely improve the understanding of political theories.
