- Content description
Research methodology provides different approaches in social science research. This subject helps students learn how to design a research and types of research methods to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data. After the course, students should have a basic understanding of the research and be able to practice research design and collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data as well as write research reports.
In addition, students understand the research ethics, have the skills to refer to materials, present research problems and can conduct field research.
- Objectives of the subject
After the course, students may:
– Understand the basis of social science research, distinguish two qualitative and quantitative research methods and the corresponding methods of information collection;
– Design and implement the qualitative and quantitative research with stakeholders, analysis and write research reports in accordance with ethical research standards in the field of social sciences.
– Enjoy and actively participate in social research, contribute to the development of social science.
– Know basic knowledge about qualitative and quantitative research; research theories and techniques, reference materials and citation materials; develop and write research questions, research design and development of information gathering tools for research; develop a field research plan, analysis, process data, and write reports.
